I’m writing to share a concern about the TWO gift card options on your website, as it caused significant confusion and inconvenience.
When visiting your website, my brother purchased a gift card directly from the main/front page, reasonably assuming it could be used for both your restaurant and your online shop. However, I find that this gift card is only valid for in-person restaurant use. I live in a different state and has no way to visit the restaurant.
It was only after trying to order from the Shop that I discovered there is a separate gift card available through your online shop that can be used for ordering products—but this distinction is not clearly explained upfront. As a result, a gift card purchased specifically to send across the country is essentially unusable for its intended purpose.
Having two different gift cards with separate restrictions, without clear warnings or explanations, is misleading for customers and especially problematic for those buying gifts for recipients who do not live near the restaurant.
I hope you will consider:
Clearly explaining the difference between the two gift cards before purchase
Adding a warning on the main gift card page that it cannot be used online
Or offering a unified gift card that works both in-store and online!
I would also appreciate any assistance you can provide in resolving this specific situation.
Thank you for your time and attention. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.
Sincerely,
Scott Hedberg
